learn spanish,learn foreign languages

An age limit to learning a foreign language?

That is the biggest bunch of #$@!)*&$  I have ever heard. Learning foreign languages has little or nothing to do with age. Believe me because I’ve been there and I know.

I started learning Spanish at age 22. People laughed and told me the same sad story over and over again. “You need to learn Spanish when you’re young. The younger the better.” Needless to say, they never took the time because they believed it.

Well, I didn’t and I not only became fluent in Spanish but I have a great accent. How did I do it? It’s simple. If you want to learn Spanish or Chinese or whatever, get to it. Keep at it. And you’ll get it all. Accents, proper grammar, typical expressions, everything.

You see, there aren’t a lot of people like me because most either give up learning a language or learn it to a certain point and don’t go further. They don’t think it’s possible to go further so they stop.

You don’t need to be 5, 10 or even 15 years old to learn a language. You just need to want it. Obviously, it’s easier when you do it unconsciously (when you’re young). But you can learn any language you want to.

Just get to it!
